Author: Cruz stated on the Don Francisco show, that the name Kumbia Kings official belongs to him and that he has legalized it. Another band member stated that AB would not attend shows and would show up months 8 months later and boss everyone around.The guys in the band began to realize that Cruz was the real founder of the Kumbia Kings.
AB has accused Cruz of misplacing money inthe past. Cruz stated this time that AB would take money after the show without accounting for it with any type of receipt or record, and that after you get so big and when too many people are involved it’s hard to keep track of money.
AB stated on a previous show that Cruz Martinez changed after getting with Alicia. On this show Cruz stated that it was AB that changed and started doing other things, which he did not go into detail about that caused their relationship to grow apart. Cruz stated that for a period of time he felt that he and AB could once again be friends but after certain things with his family that he does not see himself as being friends with AB in the future.
Recently Cruz got a food poising and was hospitalized for 3 days. Alica has a irregular heart beat and has to take medication.
Cruz stated that no matter the name he is the sound of the Kumbia Kings and will continue to provide to all the Kumbia kings Fans the trademark sounds and that the name of the group does not matter. Cruz also stated that he will be starting a tour with all the EX- Kumbia Kings members soon.
